Das Experiment
"Das Experiment" von den Strugazki
ist aus Tiefen rausgekrochen.
Bekanntes Werk von Boris und Arkadi
ließ Gefühle rasch aufkochen.
Alles war zum strikten Kontrollieren,
zur Verschmelzung mit der Zeit:
Testung prüft auf Herz und Nieren,
damit Schicksal die Kontrolle hat.
Aber nach bestimmter Zeit
konnte Fehler ich erkennen.
Uns hat jemand prophezeit...
Die Zukunftswünsche nicht aufgeben!
So entscheide ich zu leben:
nach dem Wort und dem Gewissen,
sodass jede Lüge wir beheben,
wenn die Wahrheit alle wissen.
The Experiment
The "Experiment" the Strugatskys penned,
By Boris and Arkady, brought to light,
From hellish depths it managed to ascend,
And stirred emotions with a sudden might.
A fierce, unyielding grasp that knew no bounds,
A testing to the marrow, deep and great,
Until I merged with what the time surrounds,
And yielded all the guiding reins to fate.
But when a certain span of time had passed,
I saw the heavy error I had made:
I’ll hold my future aspirations fast,
In early light and in the later shade.
I choose to live by conscience and the Word,
For Life is what Its calling signifies;
No judging by experiments is heard,
Nor finding half-truths hid in utter lies.

Град обреченный от Стругацких
Бориса и Аркадия всплыл вверх
из глубины времен тех адских,
где мой напряг был, скажем, сверх.
Он был настолько сильным сверхконтролем,
(без преувеличения) проверкой до мозга костей,
что позже я срослась со своей новой ролью,
дав вожжи управления судьбе.
Но через некоторое время
я осознала свой промах.
Не откажусь я от своих стремлений
ни в ранних, ни в последующих порах.
Я буду жить по Слову, зная:
Его призвание есть Жизнь,
эксперименту впредь не позволяя
судить и видеть полуправду в полной лжи.
